Made up of a group of dedicated lay leaders from the parish, the Vestry serves as the governing board of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit. This group makes decisions concerning the annual operating budget and other parish business. Anyone is welcome to attend monthly Vestry meetings, which are usually held after the 10:30 service on the third Sunday of each month. There are currently seven members of the parish serving on the Vestry. Vestry members normally serve a three-year term and are elected at the Annual Parish Meeting. Two members of the Vestry serve as wardens. The Senior Warden, also known as the Rector’s Warden, is the head of the Vestry and serves as the ecclesiastical authority in the absence of the Rector. The Junior Warden, also known as the People’s Warden, serves as the overseer of our building and grounds. Other Vestry members serve as liaisons to particular areas of ministry within the parish. The Vestry also includes two non-voting officers, a Treasurer and Clerk of the Vestry.

If you would like to contact a member of the Vestry, please call the Parish Office at 205-621-3418.
